May this print serve as a reminder that beautiful things take time & care to grow 🌱
Imagine your mind as a garden.
First you must plant some seeds.
Nurture them, water them, and provide plenty of sunlight
You’ll likely need to do some weeding.
Some seeds may not grow at all…
But (!!) fear not, that’s usually because something beneath the soil is happening, like other seed’s growing strong and healthy roots that will support the most BEAUTIFUL flowers.
Your thoughts & intentions are the seeds, and your habits and rituals are the ways in which you nurture these seeds as you come into full bloom
Nature reminds us that good things can’t grow in malnourished and neglected soil.
Good things take time & care.
So often I feel like we’ve forgotten this…
As if the earth can come into full bloom and offer us a bountiful harvest while we exploit, neglect, and poison the land.
As if you ~ 𝘢 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 ~ can feel creative, connected, and inspired while we neglect our own well-being.
Western society is so focused on productivity and results… sometimes I wonder if we have forgotten how to care.. like 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦.
And let’s be real, our system demands 𝘴𝘰 much from us just to “make a living”... time and wellness has become a luxury.
No wonder depression and anxiety is so pervasive throughout our society.
The best thing you can do for this world is spend as much time as you can doing the things you love. Spend time nurturing your own mind & body. Spend time doing the things that 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 to you. Direct more of your energy towards the things you care deeply about.
Like the spread of wildflowers, your seeds may blow into your neighbour’s soil (soul?😉) and they too may begin to grow a beautiful garden.
That is the power of learning to live intentionally...
You remind everyone else what it is like to be alive and well.
